‘Room 237’ Documentary Film

Room 237 is a documentary film about “The Shining”, the disturbing and mind blowing film directed by Stanley Kubrick.
It is never enough to celebrate the work of Kubrick, and even more if it is The Shining. The film, released in 1980, and based upon the book with the same name by Stephen King, remains, to this day, as one of the greatest horror movies of all time.
Directed by Rodney Ascher and produced by Tim Kirk, this is a documentary about the overwhelming number of theories surrounding the movie starring Jack Nicholson. The film intends to better count the multiple interpretations and hidden significations behind The Shining, elaborated by movie fans and more for over 30 years.
The timing for Room 237’s release is almost perfect, since Stephen King has officially announced that he will be editing the The Shining sequel, titled Doctor Sleep, in September 2013.
Room 237 is out in the UK on 26 October.
